VALVE AND FILTERS

Valves and filters can be relied upon to require minimum maintenance and to provide maximum reliability. These valve and filter provide the relatively easy on-off function to control flow and pressure relief. All wetted parts of valve and filters are made of borosilicate glass 3.3 and PTFE, which ensures maximum resistance to corrosion. The complete valve consist of Glass valve body, PTFE bellow with nut, Bakelite valve bonnet with MS spindle etc. different types of valve like Line valve, Drain valve, bottom outlet valve, Vent valve, Adjustable overflow valve, Non-return Valve (flap type), Non-return valve (ball type), Pressure relief valve, Sampling valves are available.

Pipeline filters are recommended to remove impurities from gas and liquid steams in gas pipelines. The assembly is designed such that the filter can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement.

HEAT EXCHANGER

Heat exchangers provide the optimum solution for all requirements encountered because of the wide range of heat exchangers available. Heat exchangers are used for condensation of vapours of cooling of gas or cooling of liquids. Two basic type and shell and tube type. Glass coil type heat exchangers are available as condensers, boilers and immersion heat 2 exchangers with heat transfer areas upto 8m. shell and tube type heat exchangers are designed for use with tubes in the widest possible range of corrosion resistant materials. Shell and tube type heat exchangers are available with glass or mild steel (MS) Shells in combination with glass tubes are standard. The advantage of using shell and tube type heat exchangers are larger heat transfer area in single unit, Low-pressure drop, Easy tube replacement.

GLASS COLUMN COMPONENT

Glass column and components provide the optimum solution for every requirement such as distillation, rectification and extraction because of the wide range of different components available. This applies not only to various types of column and pipe sections available but also to the wide selection of internals and packing that can be supplied. The transparency factor of glass column is a particular advantage in the visual monitoring of the process at all times. Glass column section is available up to 600mm in diameter and maximum the length of 1500mm.

PIPELINE COMPONENT

Borosil glass 3.3 pipeline components are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, dyes and allied industries and food and drink production where the advantages of using glass as a basis for the construction of complete process system have long been recognized. The main reasons for wide acceptance of (a) universal resistance to almost all chemicals resulting in reduced contamination risk (b) transparency for ease of visual monitoring of the process (c) smooth surface allows easy cleaning and sterilization of systems. This gurantees long service life and minimum maintenance requirement.

VESSELS AND STIRRERS

Glass vessels and glass stirrers provide the best solution for all requirements encountered in production processes because of the wide range of glass vessels available. Borosilicate glass vessels in either unjacketed or jacketed form are essential components of many units and plants. The glass reaction vessels can be combined with various components as stirrer drive, vessel covers and heat exchangers to construct the wide variety of stirred units and reaction systems. These glass vessels find universal application as reactors, receivers, reboilers, separators, measuring feed vessels and glass storage vessels in the chemical industry. The complete range of standard glass is available upto 300 litre capacity.

COUPLING AND GASKET

Couplings are a strong and heavy duty system that provides maximum reliability with minimum need for maintenance. This is achieved by use of easy to install corrosion resistant gasket and carefully dimensioned individual parts of the coupling. The material of construction is selected based on the type of product being handled and the atmospheric conditions of the installation area. For GMP application SS coupling with SS nuts and bolts are used. PTFE bellows are used to compensate for different thermal movement between the glass and associated equipment, absorb vibrations from associated equipment, or foundation. PTFE ‘O’ Rings are the most widely used gaskets. They are manufactured from pure, high-quality PTFE and offer almost identical properties corrosion resistance to borosilicate glass.

GLASS OVERHEAD ASSEMBLY FOR (GLR)

The standard overhead glass assemblies on GLR’s (Glass Lined Reactors) are designed for reactions under reflux and distillation.
THE STANDARDS PROCESS EQUIPMENT ARE:

Distillate Receivers for continuous operation without breaking of Vacuum
Pressure Equalisation ensured by process pipeline design being to maintain complete hydraulic integrity and single point application of vacuum over the complete system.
